Tell it how it is. Be tactful only if feelings can be hurt. If it's a friend be sure to say it flat out. How can friends be there for you if you won't open up to fact that things are bothering you. As a friend to my friends I can say that complete honesty and confidence in me is the greatest gift they could ever give to me.
